Are IoT, Big Data, Cloud Computing, and Artificial Intelligence connected? How do they combine and apply to real-world scenarios?

Using the human body as an analogy: our various organs perceive everything in the world (Big Data), which is aggregated through the body's meridians (IoT) to the brain. The human brain then memorizes, analyzes, and summarizes (Cloud Computing), and the results of this analysis are distilled into wisdom (Artificial Intelligence).

Big Data is the foundation, IoT is the architecture, Cloud Computing is the core, and Artificial Intelligence is the output. They coexist and depend on each other.

IoT is a network that connects physical objects to the internet through information sensing devices such as Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), infrared sensors, global positioning systems, and laser scanners, following agreed protocols to enable information exchange and communication, thereby achieving intelligent identification, positioning, tracking, monitoring, and management of objects.

Big Data refers to data sets that cannot be captured, managed, and processed by conventional tools within a certain time frame. Its characteristics are known as the "Three V's," mainly reflected in large Volume, diverse Variety, and high Velocity requirements.

The storage and computing capabilities of Cloud Computing, along with its distributed architecture, make it possible to realize business models based on Big Data. Cloud Computing provides these low-cost infrastructures, enabling users to obtain corresponding services on demand. Its allocation mechanism meets the storage and computing requirements of massive and diverse data in Big Data systems, making Big Data implementation feasible.

Artificial Intelligence, also known as machine intelligence, refers to the intelligence exhibited by machines created by humans. Its core task is to build thinking and operational capabilities similar to or even surpassing those of the human brain. Currently, a large number of machine tools apply AI, with the primary application areas being search, mathematical optimization, and logical reasoning.

Cloud Computing leans more toward underlying services, including service provision, network setup, and data hosting. Big Data focuses more on the analysis, organization, and aggregation of massive data sets; it operates on top of Cloud Computing but provides information support for AI and other industries. The realization of AI depends on the foundation of Cloud Computing and the information support of Big Data, and it cannot survive independently.

In the future, technologies such as IoT, Big Data, Cloud Computing, and Artificial Intelligence will become increasingly integrated and applied to industrial upgrades and scenario-based intelligence.
